If you’re new around here, only 2% of venture capital dollars went to startups founded by all-women teams and over 80% of VC investments went to all-men founding teams in 2022. AltPep, a biotech company focused on Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, raised $53M of Series B funding. The round was led by Senator Investment Group. The company is led by Valerie Daggett, and is based in Seattle, WA.
Pathstream, a career training and upskilling platform, raised $38.8M of venture funding. The company was founded by Eleanor Cooper, and is based in San Francisco, CA.
Pomelo Care, a virtual medical practice designed to improve maternal health outcomes, raised $33M of Series A funding. The round was led by Andreesen Horowitz. The company was founded by Marta Bralic Kerns, and is based in New York, NY.
Mozart Therapeutics, a biotech company focused on autoimmune diseases, raised $25M of Series A extension funding. The round was led by Pfizer Ventures. The company is led by Katie Fanning, and is based in Seattle, WA.
Beekeeper’s Naturals, which creates clean health products from propolis, raised $14M of venture funding. The round was led by Devonshire Investors and Cavu Consumer Partners. The company was founded by Carly Stein Kremer, and is based in Los Angeles, CA.
GoodBuy Gear, a resale marketplace for baby gear, raised $14M of venture funding. The round was led by Interlock Partners and Revolution Ventures. The company was founded by Kristin Langenfeld and Jessica Crothers, and is based in Denver, CO.
Oova, which provides at-home ovulation trackers, raised $10.3M of Series A funding. The round was led by Spero Ventures. The company was founded by Amy Divaraniya, and is based in New York, NY.
Ahara, a personalized nutrition company, raised $10M of Seed funding. The round was led by Greycroft. The company was founded by Julie Wainwright and Melina Jampolis, and is based in Los Angeles, CA.
Hyfe, a sustainability company that processes wastewater for reuse, raised $9M of venture funding. The round was led by Synthesis Capital. The company was founded by Michelle Ruiz and Andrea Schoen, and is based in San Francisco, CA.
SOS, which provides vending machines for personal care products, raised $7.6M of venture funding. The round was led by Urban Us Capital and Wasserman Ventures. The company was founded by Robina Verbeek and Susanna Twarog, and is based in Boston, MA.
Syntax Health, which provides contract analytics software for healthcare plans and providers, raised $7.5M of Seed funding. The company is led by Rachael Jones, and is based in New York, NY.
Brrr, which develops cooling fabric technology, raised $6.3M of Series B funding. The round was led by David Chu. The company was founded by Mary-Cathryn Kolb, and is based in Atlanta, GA.
BetterBrand, a foodtech company that creates refined carbs with higher protein, raised $6M of Series A funding. The round was led by Verso Capital. The company was founded by Aimee Yang, and is based in Los Angeles, CA.
LUXUS, a platform for luxury asset investments, raised $5M of Seed funding. The round was led by ATX Venture Partners. The company was founded by Dana Auslander, and is based in New York, NY.
Dalan Animal Health, a biotech company that has developed a vaccine to protect honeybees, raised $4.5M of Seed funding. The round was led by Prime Movers Lab. The company was founded by Annette Kleiser, and is based in Athens, GA.
Base Culture, which makes gluten-free and grain-free baked goods, raised $4.3M of venture funding. The company was founded by Jordann Windschauer, and is based in Clearwater, FL.
Pollen, a membership platform for freelancers, raised $4M of venture funding. The round was led by NIMO VC. The company was founded by Hillary Bush, and is based in New York, NY.
Rex, a photo curating app for sharing recommendations, raised $4M of venture funding. The round was led by Accel. The company was founded by Aliza Rosen, and is based in New York, NY.
Rithmm, an AI-powered sports betting startup, raised $2M of Seed funding. The round was led by Boston Seed Capital. The company was founded by Megan Lanham, and is based in Boston, MA.
Uncaged Innovations, which creates sustainable alternative leathers, raised $2M of Pre-Seed funding. The round was led by InMotion Ventures. The company was founded by Stephanie Downs and Xiaokun Wang, and is based in New York, NY.
Rubber Ducky Labs, an operational analytics platform to improve recommender systems, raised $1.5M of Seed funding. The round was led by Bain Capital Ventures. The company was founded by Alexandra Johnson and Georgia Hong, and is based in San Francisco, CA.
Boulo Solutions, a job board for working mothers, raised $1.5M of Seed funding. The round was led by Naples Technology Ventures. The company was founded by Delphine Carter, and is based in Birmingham, AL.
Every Body Eat, a plant-based snack food company, raised $1.5M of venture funding. The company was founded by Nichole Wilson and Trish Thomas, and is based in Chicago, IL.
Anise Health, a digital mental health startup, raised $1.2M of Pre-Seed funding. The round was led by Kicker Ventures. The company was founded by Alice Zhang and Nisha Desai, and is based in New York, NY.
Pumpspotting, an app for breastfeeding support including on-demand lactation consultants, raised $1M of venture funding. The company was founded by Amy VanHaren, and is based in Kittery, ME.
Nemedio, which provides compliance software for medical device companies, raised $754.7K of venture funding. The company was founded by Sabrina Varanelli, and is based in New York, NY.
El Guapo Bitters, which creates artisanal syrups and bitters, raised $250K of Seed funding. The company was founded by Christa Cotton, and is based in New Orleans, LA.
Hashtag Pay Me, a platform for creators to source and price their work, raised $200K of Pre-Seed funding. The company was founded by Cynthia Ruff, and is based in Atlanta, GA.
