If you’re new around here, only 2% of venture capital dollars went to startups founded by all-women teams and over 80% of VC investments went to all-men founding teams in 2021. This month, we tracked 17 deals totaling $216M:

Databento, a provider of real-time, pay-as-you-go financial market data, raised $31.8M of venture funding. The round was led by Indicator Ventures. The company was founded by Christina Qi, and is based in Boston, MA.

SPHERE, an identity access management solution, raised $31M of Series B funding. The round was led by Edison Ventures. The company was founded by Rita Gurevich, and is based in Newark, NJ.

ResortPass, which provides day passes to local luxury hotels and spas, raised $26M of Series B funding. The round was led by Declaration Partners and 14W. The company was founded by Amanda Szabo, and is based in Carlsbad, CA.

iNNBeauty Project, a clean and accessible skincare brand, raised $12M of Series B funding. The round was led by Alliance Consumer Growth. The company was founded by Alisa Metzger and Jen Shane, and is based in White Plains, NY.

Malk Organics, a premium, plant-based milk brand, raised $9M of Series B funding. The round was led by Benvolio Group and Rotor Capital. The company was founded by August Vega, and is based in Austin, TX.

Dae, a clean haircare brand, raised $8M of Series A funding. The round was led by Verity Venture Partners. The company was founded by Amber Fillerup Clark, and is based in Phoenix, AZ.

TiLT, a tech-enabled solution for handling employee leave, raised $6.8M of venture funding. The company was founded by Jennifer Henderson, and is based in Fort Collins, CO.

Beni, a browser extension for secondhand retail sales, raised $4M of Seed funding. The round was led by Buoyant Ventures. The company was founded by Sarah Pinner and Celine Mol, and is based in Santa Barbara, CA.

Pocketnest, a financial wellness solution for millennials and GenX, raised $2.6M of venture funding. The round was led by Reseda Group. The company was founded by Jessica Willis, and is based in Detroit, MI.

Aja Labs, which creates next-gen, plastic-free fibers for the beauty industry, raised $2.5M of Seed funding. The round was led by Impact America Fund, Better Ventures, and IndieBio. The company was founded by Osahon Ojeaga and Mary Moore, and is based in Raleigh, NC.

Indagare, a travel planning company, raised $2.2M of venture funding. The company was founded by Melissa Biggs Bradley, and is based in New York, NY.

Open Water, which makes sustainable bottled water, raised $2M of venture funding. The company was founded by Jess Page and Nicole Doucet, and is based in Chicago, IL.

Samay, which created a wearable device to monitor lung health, raised $1M of Pre-Seed funding. The round was led by Zentynel Frontier Investments. The company was founded by Maria Artunduaga, and is based in Mountain View, CA.
